This summer, we'll be partnering with other student ministries from around the community to worship and pray together at the Barn at Harvest Fields. We'll have small groups meeting from 6-7, then move into worship, sharing our God stories, and prayer from 7-8:30. Middle school students will be dismissed at 8:30, while high schoolers will be invited to stick around and have a s'more or a hot dog at the fire ring near the upper pond. Harvest Fields is located at 1100 E Boal Ave. That's past Boalsburg, just past the point at which the bypass and business 322 come together. If you have questions, call our office: 238-0822 ext 14.


XStream is the name of the student ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in State College, PA. XStream has been in existence since 1998. We have recently (2004-2005) created a ministry just for senior high students, which is called House Party.

XStream is our ministry for middle school students, and we meet from 7-8:30 Wednesday nights at 1250 University Drive (Calvary's building). We have small groups for young men and women, which we call Young Lions (for guys) and ChicChat (for young ladies), which meet from 6-7. A typical Wednesday night will find us spending time in worship, playing some games to get to know each other better, looking into the Word of God, and praying together.

You may hear the phrase Metro Worship tossed around. That's a city-wide worship/prayer service that takes place the first Wednesday of each month. It travels from church to church, and a different worship team leads worship each month. We usually have 4 or 5 interactive prayer stations set up around the room. Metro Worship is a place for us to connect on many levels--with students from both middle school and high school, and students from various churches.

House Party is our offering for high school students. We've been meeting at the Sublett house in State College on Sunday nights from 7-9, except for the first Sunday of each month. That's the night we get out of the house and go do something fun, and we start at 6. We've been seeing some good things happen lately at House Party. One of our overarching goals and beliefs is that God wants us to connect with him. We've been exploring some various methods of prayer, including Lectio Divina, small group prayer, and watching the Eagles lose the Super Bowl!

Team XStream is the name of our volunteer staff, made of adults who give sacrificially of their time and love to minister to our students. We LOVE these people! If you want to bless our ministry, bless our volunteers. Feed them. Pray for them. Invite them to your home. We couldn't do this ministry without our team. They are highly committed to seeing God move in the lives of our students, and they are the BEST!
